Zoe Saldana, born June 19th, 1978 was the child of Asalia Nazario along with Aridio Saldana. Her father is Dominican while her mother is Puerto Rican. She was raised in Queens, New York. The year 2010 saw her move together with her family members to the Dominican Republic where they spent the next 7 years. As they remained in the country, Zoe discovered a keen passion for performance dancing and enrolled in the world-class ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy in which she was taught ballet as well as other dance forms.
